Bereavement Service for the Community
We are able to offer the Hall for Condolence Congregation (Shokh Shaba) or after the funeral Khichdi Prasad. There is no charge if the deceased was a fully paid up Members of GAA London, otherwise a discounted bereavement rate will apply.
Where the deceased was a paid up member, the family will be entitled to free use of the Hall for Condolence Congregation OR after funeral Khichdi Prasad. In addition, if the deceased had donated towards the purchase of the Hall (Building Project), then they will be entitled to free use of the hall for BOTH the Condolence Congregation and after funeral Khichdi Prasad service. A donation to cover hall costs would be gratefully accepted.
The use of the hall is dependent on the availability and staffing arrangements. It will be generally be offered for up to three hours.
If the deceased was NOT a paid up member of the Association, then the normal Bereavement hire rates of £301 Monday to Friday, £351 for Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays will apply.

Dear Community members
At the very sad time of a loved ones passing, it may be difficult for the members of the family to remember and notify friends, relatives and the community about the passing away.
The GAA have introduced an advisory service for our members, by which we will send out a Funeral Notice to all registered on our mailing list by email.
In order for us to send out a courtesy advisory email we will need the following information to advise our community
1. Photo or image of the deceased
(small portrait image will be displayed in black and white)
2. Firstname Middlename Surname
3. Place of Birth and place of origin in India
4. Date of birth and passing
5. Date of Funeral
6. Time and Full address where last respects will be held
(usually family home or where procession leaves from - including Post Code)
7. Contact name and telephone number
(of contact - relative in charge of the funeral)
8. Funeral service - time and Full address (including Post Code)
9. Full name of person informing the community
(usually closest relative - or we will send as from 'Family of the deceased')

Please ensure all members of your family are consulted before approval of the email draft, as we will only send out 1 notification and cannot make any changes or alteration once sent.
